| National Camera
published the Workbooks as training aids for seminars; most of the
Workbooks were written and illustrated by current owners/operators of
Infotech (who also served as the instructors for the seminars). The Workbooks present
a pictorial step-by-step disassembly and service information. Infotech
obtained the copyrights for the Workbooks when National Camera went out
of business. Most pages have one picture (approximately 4" x 6") and space for notes. The early Workbooks have very little text other than picture cutlines. In later Workbooks, National Camera added text under certain pictures as in the example shown here. Most of the Workbooks include critical adjustment points and schematics when applicable. Click on the sample page above right for a larger view. Format: 8½" x 11", 3 hole, loose-leaf. Most are originals. A few—those that ran out of stock—are photocopies or reprints.

We
originally prepared the Canon E-F manual for a series of National Camera
training seminars in cooperation with Canon U.S.A. The 123-page manual contains
schematics, pictorials, updates, repair instructions. There's a very important
precaution in repairing the Canon E-F—a
precaution to prevent damage to the MOSFET, the IC that serves as an amplifier
for the metering system. B-6723. $25.00.
The
Rolleiflex SL26 is unique—it's a quality
SLR that takes 126 film cartridges. The 57-page manual includes service and
adjustment information. The National Camera instructor was trained by Rollei of
America in preparation for writing the manual and teaching the seminars.
But the SL26 isn't an easy camera to repair. Unless you're proficient in camera
repair, you might want to limit how far you go in disassembly. B-6697.

the fully automatic FE and the semiautomatic FM, Nikon entered the
compact-SLR competition. The Workbook covers the FE; see
Craftsman for the FM. Besides a step-by-step
disassembly, the FE Workbook includes the schematic, adjustments, test
procedures, and troubleshooting. The Workbook can stand alone as a repair
