Workbook/Repair Manual Combination Packages

Canon AE-1 B-6726. Now a complete AE-1 repair manual.
We originally prepared the AE-1 Workbook for National Camera's training seminars. Click on the cover image at left to see the contents of the 118-page Workbook/repair manual. National Camera was the first company other than Canon to provide training seminars on the AE-1. Now the same people who prepared and conducted the AE-1 seminars have put together a bonus CD to bring an old Workbook up to date. The CD includes:

             -standard repairs, fully illustrated, including:
                                     ●silencing the mirror-cage squeak with minimum disassembly.
              ●replacing the battery door.
              ●silencing the squeak when cocking the shutter.
              ●replacing mirror cushion and light-trap foam.
           -troubleshooting (15 pages, 37 color pics).
           -updated procedures and design modifications (11 pics).
                                  -color wiring diagrams for the old-style and new-style (#4) FPC's.
                                  -revised adjustment technique, the short method (7 pics).

Note: Many of the repairs on the AE-1 require delicate circuit work that should only be attempted by a qualified camera-repair technician.

 

                      
Norita B-6703. The Norita Workbook isn't one of our better Workbooks in terms of information or picture quality. Yet it has been copied and sold by others because there's so little repair information available on the camera. The 61-page Workbook does provide a step-by-step disassembly. To make the Workbook more useful, we've added a bonus CD containing the 17 exploded drawings from the Norita parts manual. We haven't included the pages with part numbers—parts aren't available. But exploded drawings can be helpful in assembly. Adding the CD does not increase the price of the Workbook. The Workbook is an original, not a photocopy. Yashica TL Electro-X B-6704. This Workbook can stand on its own as a repair manual. It has 104 pages covering a step-by-step pictorial disassembly, adjustments, circuit descriptions, a schematic from the factory manual, and a wiring pictorial from the factory manual (National Camera provided the training with the help and cooperation of Yashica). But now we're adding even more—the 22-page factory manual on a CD. The factory manual contains mostly repair and troubleshooting information. The Rollei 35 B-6698 is a very collectible—and usable—35mm camera. This 61-page training manual, prepared originally for a series of National Camera training seminars, can stand alone—it has disassembly, reassembly, and adjustment information. But now there's more—the Rollei 35 Workbook now comes with a companion, a CD with the Rollei 35, B35, and C35 factory repair manual (62 pages counting parts lists). The factory repair manual doesn't have a lot of text, but it features excellent exploded drawings that can help in repair. The popular Pentax Spotmatic Workbook B-6695. This Workbook can also stand alone as a repair manual—it includes step-by-step disassembly, curtain replacement, timing, adjustments. 205 pages. We originally prepared the Workbook for a series of training seminars given by S. Love and L. Lyells, then working for National Camera. To make the Workbook even more valuable, we now include the CD on the Pentax Screwmount SLR Series (the factory manuals on the Spotmatic, the Spotmatic II, the SPF, and the Pentax S3).
