Ilex Universal Shutter

To reach the mechanism shown, disassemble the shutter from the front. To reach the shutter blades, disassemble the shutter from the back.
You can remove the slow-speed governor as a unit. Reach the two screws from the back of the mechanism plate after taking off the back cover.
Neither of the versions shown uses a screw over the main lever. The front cover holds down the main lever when the shutter is assembled. Be careful when operating the version at the right with the front cover removed—the mainspring may fly to the other end of the room.
