INFOTECH TUTORIALS. Original tutorials prepared by the same people who wrote many of the National Camera lesson materials as well as many service guides, repair manuals, Camera Craftsman articles, SPT Journals, and Fargo Enterprise manuals. Color images illustrate the step-by-step procedures.

RGCD. Basic Camera-Repair Guides. For hobbyists, collectors, and beginners in camera repair. All the general articles that originally appeared the tutorials section of our site plus three new guides. Since the guides are in PDF format (rather than one continuous HTML page as in our online tutorials), you can print them without losing pictures or information. ROL101. Rolleiflex 4x4 (Gray Baby). An original Infotech step-by-step tutorial with 38 pages and 99 color illustrations, written by the same people who wrote the National Camera lesson texts on the Rolleiflex 2.8F. Covers operating instructions, disassembly, focus and parallelism adjustments, operation of the film-transport system, adjustments in the film-metering  and transport mechanisms, troubleshooting. RB101. Mamiya RB67 Lenses. The CD includes an original Infotech step-by-step tutorial on removing the #1 Seiko shutter from the standard 127mm RB67 lens (8 pages, 22 color photos), the Mamiya parts manual with exploded drawings on the 50mm F4.5, the 180mm F4.5, and the 360mm F6.3mm, and additional exploded drawings on the 65mm F4.5, the 90mm F3.8, the 127mm F3.8, and the 250mm F4.5 lenses from the Mamiya RB67 Pro S manual. Also included—three disassemblies from the National Camera archives covering the disassembly of the 50mm F4.5, the 90mm F3.8, and the 180mm F4.5 lenses (one page each, no illustrations). PSCD101. 00-size Prontor SV Shutter. Covers the Prontor SV shutter as used in the Kodak Retinette (19 pages, 40 color illustrations). Also includes Kodak's Retinette parts manual that has very good exploded illustrations on the shutter as well as the camera body (16 pages). The tutorial assumes a basic knowledge of shutter design, cleaning, and lubrication—if you need more information on these subjects, see, Basic Camera Repair Guides RGCD above. Valera, Copal CD's. The following two CD's are also available in printed format:

 CCD101. Copal #0. The popular National Camera publication covering the Copal #0 (also available in printed form—see, Special Publications).  46 pages, 86 illustrations. Written and illustrated by National Camera instructors. Scans made from original publication, not from a photocopy. Includes the exploded parts diagram and parts list from Copal. $7.50.

Collectors' Series of Camera Repair Manuals. Several years ago, National Camera started providing factory repair & parts manuals on microfiche—this made it affordable for independent technicians to own the factory manuals. Since the CD has nearly replaced the microfiche as a medium for storing information, we are now converting our microfiche library to CD (but we still provide the microfiche if that's your preference). Please note that many PDF's of factory manuals are available for free download from sites such as Favorite Classics (see our links page). We do not make CD's of current products or of manuals that are still available from the manufacturers. National Camera originally received permission to reproduce manuals for the microfiche program.

Our scans were made and retouched in-house from the original factory printed manuals—not from the microfiche. Rather than using the bookmarks, we've added contents pages to most CD's that key to the thumbnails (unless the page numbers already match the thumbnails). You can then quickly access a page by using the Go To Page command or by clicking on a thumbnail. Those that say they're for Windows™ (purple type) include a menu to make the CD easier to navigate (see the example at the bottom of this page—the menus don't all work exactly like this one, but each one facilitates finding your way around in the CD) . The other CD's just contain the PDF files that only require Acrobat Reader™.  Note that these are factory service manuals—not do-it-yourself books. They were written for camera-repair technicians.  Several CD's include instructional materials from the National Camera archives; these materials, when included, are described in green type.

Here's an example of one menu route to finding where that red wire goes (this is the menu from the Minolta XE CD). First we select Service Manual from the main menu. Note: Only the CD's marked, "For Windows... "use the menus.	In this example, we get the service-manual submenu. Now we select Wiring Pictorial. Of course the actual menus and PDF's are much sharper (and much larger). We shot these menus from the screen.	Now we've located the wiring pictorial. We can make it smaller to see the entire page. Or zoom in on the section we want. If we open Thumbnails, a red frame shows us the area of the complete page that we're viewing.
